One of my favorite things in this world is an everything bagel with salmon spread and tomato from Breugger's. Or a cinnamon-raisin bagel with honey-walnut. And this comes from a former baker (I forgot about that in the meme) who pretty much lived on this stuff for a year.
Oh and the frites at Rudy’s are awesome.

I am not taking issue with the bagels for now (though I am tempted). My problem today, and with every bagel I have gotten from there, is that their plain cream cheese has a sour quality to it that I do not enjoy. Once, I thought, okay, maybe it was just a little old. Twice, I thought, maybe they gave me tofu by mistake. Today I decided. They just like gross cream cheese.

You're right, the bagels are not great, they're just ok. And I don't know anything of the plain cream cheese. Perhaps the flavored kind masks the sour taste. Or maybe the people that work there don't know how to read expiration dates.

I dunno, I kinda like the cream cheeze at Bruegger's. I've never thought it to be sour. Maybe that's an east coast thing. These days I usually go for the hummus though. Rosemary Olive Oil bagel with plain hummus. Word.
