Let the Internet Plan Your Wedding

Suddenly, I am a rather busy lady. In between learning Spanish, navigating a new city, trying to make friends, being a conscientious blogger, and an all-around best mate/wife type to Malcolm, I also have to plan a wedding. Yikes!

Thankfully, I just discovered a terrific weddings resource: a site that proffers good advice within an accessible structure. The home page displays clickable categories – with pictures – e.g., Wedding Traditions, Wedding Details, Wedding Jewelry, and Fashion and Beauty, with clickable sub categories that are well-placed and appropriate. A menu on the left lists all content areas neatly and intuitively designed.

The color palette, light purple and white, is sweet but not cloyingly so, and the ads are unobtrusive. On second viewing I found a contest opportunity to win a dream wedding and practical advice for after the wedding has ended details, like thank-you cards. The honeymoon section is wonderfully extensive. Their suggestions are cool and contemporary. There is even an essay on romantic adventures in Mexico. That, we know about already! But for everything else, from invitations to transportation, I totally need some help.

And this is good stuff! Wedding information I will actually enjoy reading, like articles on style, saving, and etiquette. They have an entire section dedicated to poetry, quotes and vows, which I adore. It´s totally comprehensive and easy-to-use. Even a somewhat cynical, unconventional bride to be like me will find ample information to help plan an elegant, festive, unforgettable romantic wedding.

Oh! One more thing! Both Brides and Grooms should register for their forum page. Here is a great opportunity for a dialogue among like-minded individuals. You can find out exactly what other brides (and grooms too!) are considering for cake, ceremony, rings, and more. This is going to be super helpful for me, a bride so far from home.

Don’t just take my word for it. Check out weddingstrategies.com today!

  1. I’ve been using http://www.weddingsolutions.com. It along the same lines, I think, as the one you’re using. That’s where my entire guest list is. Good luck with your planning!
