Mashup: Brave Ulysses
You thought the leaden winter would bring you down forever,
But you rode upon a steamer to the violence of the sun.
Come, my friends,
'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
The colors of the sea blind your eyes
And you touch the distant beaches
By the sirens sweetly singing.
that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Hey guys,
Been reading the blog for a few days now because my wife and I are heading down to spend two weeks in a house just outside Progreso tomorrow.
Anyway, great blog -- you seem like a cool couple who's really enjoying the place.
And having lived abroad, I know there is no better resource for tips than the local expats.
So, if you have the time, I'd love a couple of leads on cool places in and around Progresso, as well as Merida -- which seems a little difficult to figure out online.
Things like where a couple -- not too unlike yourselves from Vancouver BC -- would like to go for a drink. Good restaurants, etc.
Any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob
