Day 3: “No Name Yet” Kitten: Y’all Are Bringin’ Down the Server!
Hey everybody, just a quick note. I have really been delighted by everyone’s comments over the last few hours. The words of support are really keeping me going as “No Name Yet” howls in the corner, in between bouts of sound kitten napping. Thanks to you, this site is currently receiving 7 times the visitors it normally does, so some of you may see “Internal Server Errors” when you comment. You probably don’t have to re-enter your comment when that happens. MovableType seems to be storing the comment, anyway, before reporting that error. When in doubt, don’t refresh…hit back, THEN refresh, and see if your comment is listed. And don’t worry…if it double or triples up, I will clean it out for you.
Thank you all again, and I want to keep hearing from you! You all are amazing!

The blogosphere is abuzz with voices across Mexico defending their adopted country. I couldn't agree more with the chorus of sanity. Don't let the fear mongers get you down. And though I don't know wh ...

Are you now thinking about keeping the little one? I really hope you do because you seem like the type of caring person who’d make the best of pet owners. If you can’t, for whatever reason, it might be a good idea to offer her for adoption to the people who’ve come to your site to read about her and help. The people in my group just flew 2 kittens from Texas to their new home in New Jersey, and last weekend I drove a shelter kitty 450 miles to her new home in Northern California. Animal lovers will do anything they can to help.

Boy it feels good to find another person who gets in way over their heads on account of lost, poor, hurt, overall miserable little cats. You’re going to be shamelessly used as an argument next time I have to face my mother or my husband, both of whom think I should stick to the “love animals” part and give up the “but I just can’t leave it there [hurt/hungry/cold/lost] like this” part.
I had a similar experience a couple years back with Noi (enfant.blogspot.com/2003/11/tchau-noi.html – I don’t suppose you understand Portuguese, but there are links to cute pics anyway). He crawled back to the house after being hit by car a block away. When I found out he had 10 fractures and no movement on the back legs and still managed to drag himself home I temporarily gave up on the idea of putting him to sleep. The vet said “he really wanted to make it, give him a day”. And so he made it, and he was an absolute blast, as you’ll see in the pictures.
The funny thing is the vets told me exactly the same thing about cats and broken bones. They’re right, as I have learned – and you, I see.
I am sorry the shitty brazilian curency makes it hard for us to help with a lot, but I’m going over to paypal right now to send the little girl my ten bucks.
Have a good life, all of you, and congratulations on having found each other.

It is so good to see little no name is a Tuxedo! She has been through a lot(and so have you). I too hope that you keep her, she will be forever in your debt and I imagine she will be a remarkable kitty. Thank you again for taking her in and most of all for caring!

Bless you to save one of the cutest little girls. When mommy brought home her first baby, he cried all the time. He was scared so mommy set up a box with a blaknie and a tick tock clock under the blankie. She had some stuffed animals and put them in with the baby. The baby could cuddle up to an animal and hear the heart beat. tick tock and would go to sleep. maybe that will help the baby.
