You guys don’t seem too concerned about the fact that you have a giant alien in a freakin jar. What is wrong with you!!! Run for the hills!
Comment by daniel on 13 August 2007:
Seeing as how the diameter of the spider is greater than the diameter of the jar top, how the heck did you get it in the jar?
Comment by Bruce on 13 August 2007:
WTF?? I guess my relocation plans are on hold until those things are taken care of…I mean dead!! Seriously , are those common there? And I can’t wait to hear the answer to Daniel’s question.

Good find! Spider is the caviar of Cambodia:
“On a good day, I can sell between 100 and 200 spiders,” said Tum Neang, a 28-year-old spider-seller who supports her entire family by hawking the creepy-crawlies, deep fried in garlic and salt, to the people who flock to Skuon for a juicy morsel.

Comment by Adamz on 15 August 2007:
So tell us how you cooked it up already. Did you wrap it in seaweed and sticky rice? That’s what I would have done.
Comment by kathy on 16 August 2007:
Matt was the closest. Holy fucking shit! I don’t think I’d have the never to hold the jar.

I sent you a PM at MI regarding Dean. I don’t want to post my personal stuff here, but you all are invited to weather the storm at our place in Merida. This invite does NOT include the spider!

I was just coming to see how you’re going to weather Dean. Since we’re going to take the hit for Mexico (well, the Cat 5 hit; Tampico will take the Cat 3 hit) I’m hoping you can send your abaniles over here as we’re expecting pure rubble when we get back. We’re headed to Chetumal tomorrow to wait Dean out.
Stay safe!! And take some amazing pictures (though it will be middle of the night when it crosses the peninsula)
