“The Sun goes down. The Moon comes up. You go out and look at the sky. Observing the eclipse is that easy.” Thanks NASA. They go on, “A lunar eclipse happens when the Moon passes through the shadow of Earth.” duh. And then the final insult, “Earth’s shadow is different [from yours] because, unlike you, Earth has an atmosphere”. Whatever, I totally have atmosphere.

Special thanks to Old Man River for alerting us to this awesome celestial event. Hope you all were watching; we won’t see another total lunar eclipse until December 2010. Thank God this one is always available:
